A report claimed Apple will launch their 12.9-inch tablet, the iPad Pro, on Nov. 11 at retail and online stores.
Back in Sept, Apple showed off, the iPad Pro, the latest addition to their tablet line-up but only went as far as saying it will be available this month. Before Oct. ended, 9to5Mac reported the device's exact release date.
Citing multiple sources, the website said "Apple plans to start selling the 12.9-inch iPad Pro on Wednesday, November 11th via both its physical retail and online stores."
The Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard, the tablet's accessories, will reportedly launch on the same day as well.
"Other than providing the functionalities of a keyboard, the Smart Keyboard also serves as a protective case, and it connects to the new iPad via Smart connection that'll also charge it," Tech Times said.
As for the Apple Pencil, it is a pressure-sensitive stylus that essentially turns the iPad Pro into "a notepad or a drawing book," per the website.
The iPad Pro itself is the largest tablet to come out of Cupertino to date. According to GSM Arena, it is powered by an A9X processor, 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 128GB of internal storage.
It comes with a pair of 8MP and 1.2MP front and rear-facing cameras and runs iOS 9 allowing it to take advantage of split-screen multitasking. It also boasts four front-facing speakers instead of just two commonly found in other tablets.
With a 12.9-inch 2,048 x 2,732p (265ppi) display, the iPad Pro is said to be capable of displaying 3D images, raw photo editing and handling 4K video.
Apple claims a 10-hour battery life for the tablet which weighs just 1.57 pounds and measures 12.04 x 8.69 x 0.27 in.
The 32GB and 128GB Wi-Fi-only iPad Pro are priced at $799 and $949, respectively. On the other hand, the 128GB Wi-Fi + Cellular model costs $1,079.
The report of an iPad Pro launch on Nov. 11 followed an earlier one from 9to5Mac which said Apple's support staff will finish training on the 12.9-inch tablet by Nov. 6.
