Country star Carrie Underwood graced the cover of the December issue of Cosmopolitan and in her feature interview, she revealed that she and husband Mike Fisher are solid and their marriage is going strong.
Carrie Underwood is certain that she and Mike Fisher are not following the steps of several summer celebrity divorce like Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale and her fellow country stars, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert.
Underwood, who hosted the 2015 CMA Awards, said that she is certain that her marriage with hockey star Mike Fisher is not anywhere near divorce, saying, "Everyone is getting divorced. They're dropping like flies! But we are good."
Talking about how she thinks their marriage remains stable, she said, "It helped that we were both established before we were married. Neither one of us could be like, 'I didn't know it would be like this!'"
Early this year, in an interview with US Magazine, Fisher shared that when they have time, he and Underwood takes trips to get away.
"We actually went away a few months ago to Turks and Caicos for the Olympic break for a week or 10 days," she said. "It was just awesome. It was nice to get away."
And when Underwood was busy working for her album, Fisher makes sure he stays out of her way.
"She's actually real busy doing a lot of writing and stuff. I've been just kind of hanging out, just kind of being home and enjoying that. I stay out of her way. I go golfing or go fishing or something," he laughingly said.
Confirming her husband's statement, Underwood also told US Magazine, "He stays away. That whole creative process is such a weird thing, and I've talked to other people in the music business and friends and what they do and we all kind of have our own 'isms.'"
