Manny Pacquiao's next fight is believed to be his last.
The Filipino fighter is composing his swan song as he is reportedly set to run for a senatorial post back in his country. Details on his last dance is still scarce, with opponent yet to be determined.
One detail making round the news though is that Manny Pacquiao's next fight might take place outside of the United States. If his past boxing matches were staged in Las Vegas, there is a chance his farewell fight gets done in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Pacman, 36, is currently in the Middle East nation for his basketball team's Dubai Tour.
"This is my first time (in Dubai) and I feel so happy to be here. Thank you for the warm welcome, especially to the Filipino people in Dubai," he told local sports show Sport360.
"I'd love to have a fight here in Dubai but I don't know yet. We are working on that."
Pacquiao also revealed who among his suitors he will likely fight.
"I have no preference, it can be anybody - it depends on the negotiation," h said. "There is Amir Khan, a rematch with (Floyd) Mayweather, (Danny) Garcia or (Terence) Crawford."
Top Rank CEO Bob Arum said Manny Pacquiao is set to sit down with his adviser Michael Koncz to review tapes of Amir Khan who he said is among the frontrunners.
"(Pacquiao adviser) Michael Koncz is flying over to the Middle East where Manny Pacquiao is at this moment-with tapes of the Crawford fight and tapes of Amir Khan," Arum explained to BoxingScene.com's Ryan Burton.
"We will be discussing everything with Manny next week after the Bradley-Rios fight and we will have a decision probably by mid-November."
From his side, Khan thinks discussions are going well.
"Talks are going really well," he told The Hindu. "They [Pacquiao's team] are speaking to my team, I have just left it to my team. I fight anybody who is brought in front of me. If it's Manny Pacquiao, it's Manny Pacquiao. If not, then somebody else. But we are still waiting for a response on what's going to happen."
