Meanwhile, Rachel McAdams' role in the film is still unconfirmed.

However, Vanity Fair claimed McAdams will most likely portray the role of Clea, the equally magical love interest of Doctor Strange.

"Though there has been no official confirmation from Marvel, the likeliest character for McAdams is a magically gifted woman named Clea, which means not only would McAdams be romancing Cumberbatch's Stephen Strange, she would also match the Sorcerer Supreme mystical gesture for mystical gesture," the publication claimed.

If not Clea, "The Notebook" actress could also reportedly play the role of Night Nurse from the 2006 limited series, "The Oath," or Morgana Blessing, Strange's long-time lover, who was introduced in 1981.

Comic Book Resources reported that Rachel McAdams has confirmed her involvement in "Doctor Strange" at the Toronto International Film Festival.

"I'm gonna go do 'Doctor Strange' [for] Marvel, kind of a psychedelic Marvel comic, yeah, with Benedict Cumberbatch. I'm really looking forward to that," she revealed.

Meanwhile, Tilda Swinton and Chiwetel Ejiofor are also said to be included in the cast with Swinton playing Strange's mentor, while Ejiofor will take on the role of Baron Mordo.

"The actress is negotiations to portray the Ancient One, the Tibetan mystic who is a mentor to Dr. Strange," Variety claimed.

In a statement released via Screen Rant, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige explained how "Doctor Strange" will expand the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"The goal of these films is always to continue to expand what a comic book film is, what a Marvel Cinematic Universe film is," Feige explained. "And starting a couple years ago with 'Guardians of the Galaxy,' this year with 'Ant-Man,' next year with 'Doctor Strange' continuing to push the boundaries of that cinematic universe."

"With Strange, it is a classic Marvel origin story because he's got one of the best origins ever. And it's our opportunity to take that left turn into the supernatural," Feige added in separate statement.

Marvel's "Doctor Strange" movie release date is set on Nov. 4, 2016.
