Brandon Flowers Getting The Killers Band Together To Make A New Album?

| By

Fans of The Killers grew anxious when guitarist Dave Keuning made a statement that members of the band are now working on their solo careers.

While Keuning's statement fueled speculations that the American rock band has no time working on a new album, frontman Brandon Flowers refuted rumors claiming that The Killers is still very much intact.

The 34-year-old musician explained to Rolling Stone that they may be rumors of breakup but "everything is fine" with the band.

"I get it," Flowers explained after hearing rumors of a breakup from the band. "There are a couple of remarks made by Dave [Keuning], our guitar player, that made it sound a little bit more ominous than it really was. And so it makes people wonder. But, no, everything is fine."

And while he did not mention anything about making a new album, The Killers performed in Life is Beautiful festival in Las Vegas, ABC 13 Action News reported.

And in a previous interview with Pop Crush, Flowers stipulated that it's been uncomfortable for him to perform solo.

"I can't believe it's been five years," Flowers explained. "Being onstage without them...it is different. I try to look for the similarities rather than dwell on the differences, because I need that comfort, I guess."

And even if he's not certain about the future of The Killers, Flowers wanted fans to know that they are taking each day one step at a time, which could possibly lead to a new album release.

"I've been used to more of a polarizing situation, and that usually goes in my favor," he explained. "I think if somebody really hates it or people really love it, then it usually works out. But this time it's been a lot more positive and I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing."

"I don't think that far! I don't know where The Killers are gonna be, and where our head space is gonna be after each record."
