Zombies must band together against a common enemy, forcing Liv and Blaine to grudgingly work together as a team this time.
According to these "iZombie" season 2 spoilers, Blaine will have the upper hand in this new, awkward relationship.
David Anders, who plays the cured zombie who's masquerading as an actual zombie, previously revealed to TV Line that the former enemies will have to work together to create the cure because "they have a similar foe."
"Teammates don't have to be friends; they just have to win the game," he added.
Executive producer Diane Ruggiero-Wright also shared that Liv and Blaine will have "to band together as zombies," but Liv won't be happy about it.
Rose McIver (Liv) noted that the writers set up their reluctant partnership "so cleverly and made it work in a way that Liv just completely needs [Blaine's help]."
"She relies on him..." she continued. "It's an interesting dynamic. It'll be a lot of fun."
She won't be the only one sucked into Blaine's world. Ravi, who's working on the zombie cure, will also join in on the "fun," the "iZombie" season 2 spoilers further revealed.
Rahul Kohli shared to the site that Ravi's "work with the cure, the tainted Utopium, puts [him and Blaine] in the same world."
"And Blaine is very much his guinea pig in the sense that he has no idea what's going to happen down the road," Kohli stated, adding that the two of them will "square-off."
"Stunts were involved," he teased.
Viewers already had a taste of this so-called rivalry when Ravi and Blaine scrambled for the failed zombie-making concoction last episode.
According to showrunner Rob Thomas' previous "iZombie" season 2 spoilers, the search for the cure will be a long process.
"The cure is not perfect in its current form. There will be other stories generated by certain things that the cure lacks that will throw them into the fire more," he told The Hollywood Reporter.
This could possibly give Blaine and Ravi enough time to develop a bromance.
