Amir Khan earlier revealed he has signed a deal to become the other man in Manny Pacquiao's next fight.
He claims papers were already sent to Pacman's camp to make the boxing match official. However, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum says it is not that true. He insists nothing is final yet.
"I haven't sent a contract to him. We haven't sent anything to him," Arum told ESPN's Dan Rafael. "Don't you think I'm the promoter of the fight and I would know if I sent a contract? It's not true. This is ridiculous. There is no deal. There is no contract. There has been no decision whatsoever."
According to a statement by Khan and his father/mentor Shah, they agreed to every demands to meet requirement for Manny Pacquiao's next fight which is scheduled on April 9 next year and will also be his last.
"Mr Arum has to guarantee millions to Manny and it is unlikely he can reach those numbers with either of the other candidates (Terence Crawford and Timothy Bradley," Shah said as per report by the Daily Mail.
The older Khan's statement is completely different from Arum's. Pacman's promoter said Khan camp's claims are ridiculous and that no contract has been sent to either the British boxer and Terence Crawford who is among the top choices for Manny Pacquiao's next fight.
"Top Rank has sent a contract to neither [Khan nor Crawford]. Top Rank will send a contract to one of them when Manny makes his decision on who he wants to fight," Arum said.
"Right now, what we are doing is trying to decide between Crawford and Khan for April 9. I don't know what Khan said he signed. Don't I have the right to draw up a contract with either guy? I don't know who Manny wants to fight."
