'Supergirl' Episode 2 Postmortem: Cat Grant's Superpower To Be Unleashed; Kara Better Be Aware

| By

As Kara Danvers, Supergirl is no match to her Catco boss Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart).

Like in "Supergirl" episode 2 titled "Stronger Together", she was able to do nothing when the sophisticated media mogul branded her superhero version as menace following a failed mission.

That is only a fraction of how much Cat Grant can make Kara tremble. "Supergirl" episode 2 ended with Kara agreeing to an interview with Cat and according to series developer Ali Adler, a sat down between the two will be a showcase of Grant's "superpower."

"There's a reason that Cat Grant is the queen of all media," Adler told TV Guide when asked by interviewer if Kara knows what she's getting into when she granted the interview.

"That's actually the story for the [upcoming] episode: "What have I done?" Superman famously does not talk to the press, and Cat's superpower is being a tremendous interviewer. We'll see what comes of that."

Before that, Adler said the next episode will set up the dynamics of relationship between Kara and Cat Grant.

"The next episode will set up their dynamic for the series. Cat, who is used to being the most powerful woman in National City, can't help but be blown away by the power of this girl," she said.

Grant will probably feel she met her match in the Kryptonian as "Supergirl" episode guide for next week hints of a bad move from the media icon.

"Supergirl" episode three is titled "Fight or Flight". Read episode guide below.

"Supergirl's powers are tested when Reactron, one of Superman's formidable enemies, arrives in National City and targets the young hero. Also, Cat plans to run an exposé on Supergirl."

Will Cat Grant think of Supergirl as her rival? Find out next week. Aside from Benoist and Flockhart, "Supergirl" cast also includes Mehcad Broos as James Olsen, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers, Jeremy Jordan as Winn Schott, and David Harewood as Hank Henshaw.
