Amir Khan's next fight is against Manny Pacquiao.
The British fighter has reportedly inked a deal to seal a bout against the Filipino boxer.
"Amir Khan has reached a deal with Manny Pacquiao for the super-fight he has been craving since he entered his abortive negotiations with Floyd Mayweather two years ago," the Daily Mail reported.
"Khan has agreed terms 'in every last detail' to meet Pacquiao in America in April. Confirmation that Khan has accepted the contract has been sent by his lawyers to Pacquiao's legendary promoter Bob Arum."
Khan's father and mentor Shah said the paper has been sent to Top Rank CEO and Pacman's promoter Bob Arum. He also feels positive about the discussion because Arum is looking for Manny Pacquiao's next fight as something that can rake millions and the older Khan think his son fits the bill.
"Mr Arum has to guarantee millions to Manny and it is unlikely he can reach those numbers with either of the other candidates (Terence Crawford and Timothy Bradley," Shah said.
Just a few days ago, Amir Khan, who also used to be a sparring mate for Manny Pacquiao, expressed his confidence that their fight will happen and he is the 'priority' for Pacman's camp.
"I am the front-runner," Khan told BBC Sport.
"Manny Pacquiao makes a good story because we've been training partners and I've been with his coach Freddie Roach. There's a big chance of the fight happening, it's all about making sure my team is on point with the deal and they need to make sure they get the fight that I want."
Bob Arum also confirmed that Manny Pacquiao's next fight is now down to a choice between Amir Khan and Terence Crawford.
"Manny (Pacquiao) told me that his last fight will be held in April 9 next year. His next potential opponent could be anyone between Crawford and Khan," Arum told The Manila Times in a phone interview on Sunday (Saturday in US).
