After months of waiting, it's been reportedly confirmed that the "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 release date is happening next year.
According to When-Will.net the producers of the hit anime series of Sui Ishida's "Tokyo Ghoul" manga has confirmed that season 3 is going to be released in 2016.
However, there are reportedly issues surrounding the series' release date.
Reports about "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 adapting the manga titled "Tokyo Ghoul: Re" became rampant, but given that the manga only has 43 chapters raises concern that the story will not be enough to cover the entire third season.
"Great news! It has been confirmed that 'Tokyo Ghoul' season 3 will be released in 2016," When-Will.netreported. "Now, that the renewal of the anime series has been announced, the main question on everyone's mind is whether the storyline of season 3 will stay true to the current running manga 'Tokyo Ghoul: re.'"
"The main cause of concern is that 'Tokyo Ghoul: re' only has 43 chapters which might not be enough material to produce a whole season's worth of episodes."
And while the said concerns have yet to be addressed, CEO and President of FUNimation Entertainment, Ge Fukunaga announced in an interview with Crossmap that in line with "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 release date next year a new game is under development.
"Ever since we began simulcasting the anime series last year, fans of 'Tokyo Ghoul' have been clamoring for a mobile game. With Season 2 now finished and Season 3 set for 2016, the anticipation for the game has only grown higher," he revealed.
Both "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 and the planned game are reportedly schedule for 2016 release date.
The game is said to be made available both Android and Apple devices in English version.
