Tom Hiddleston and rumored girlfriend Elizabeth Olsen are just friends, at least that's what the "Avengers" star insisted on in when asked about their real status.
Rumors swirled when the "I Saw The Light" co-stars were spotted hanging out around London together months after filming for their movie together ended, prompting the media and the public to conclude that they could be the next Hollywood "it couple."
Unfortunately, Olsen clarified that she wasn't actually Tom Hiddleston's girlfriend and they were just seen in the wrong place at the wrong time.
"I mean, we definitely are friends and we've known each other for about four years. And we happened to be at a restaurant at a wrong time having dinner," she previously told Refinery29 about their alleged romance.
Nevertheless, their chemistry was reportedly so palpable on screen. Should they act alongside each other again in other movies for the future?
According to an interview with GQ, the British actor wants to do a movie that's totally different from the ones he is known for.
"I'd really love to see if I could do a romantic comedy, because I think they're really challenging and I think it would be really fun," he shared.
Perhaps he could bring in Elizabeth Olsen as his love interest once again. They already played husband and wife in "I Saw The Light" and are already being speculated to be lovers in real life.
Even Mary-Kate and Ashley's little sister recognized the spark between them after reading the script together for a chemistry read.
"We've known each other for about four years, and we met doing a chemistry read for an audition and we were like, 'oh my God, this would be so much fun if we worked with each other,'" Olsen previously told MTV News.
Tom Hiddleston's girlfriend or not, if they team up again, they would really be able to bring out their chemistry with each other.
