Lamar Odom updates for the past few hours claim that the NBA star, who is married to Khloe Kardashian, is now stronger and out of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
After suffering strokes while in a coma, Lamar Odom's doctors had given updates on his family and the Kardashian-Jenner clan.
"After therapy, he is able to take a few steps with help," a source for People Magazine said. "He is doing very well and continues to be a fighter. He hasn't given up once, and this will really help him in the future."
Despite this, the source said the two-time NBA champ has still got "a long way to go."
Meanwhile, a news update from Hollywood Life stated that Lamar Odom has been taken off dialysis and will not be needing a kidney transplant after all.
According to Dr. S. Adam Ramin of the Urology Cancer Specialists in Los Angeles, the basketball player's kidneys would mostly likely make a full recovery in time.
"A healthy person like Lamar should regain function normal kidney function and get off dialysis, so he won't be on dialysis for the rest of his life," Dr. Ramin said
On Oct. 13, Lamar Odom was rushed to a hospital after reportedly overdosing on drugs in a brothel called the "Love Ranch South" in Pahrump, Nevada.
"Lamar called us wanting to come out and visit and get away from all the pressure and have some fun," said Dennis Hof, the owner of the brothel. "He was having a good time, happy and healthy."
He was reportedly found unconscious and unresponsive around 3:30 PM two days after checking in to the "Love Ranch."
"They came back around 3 p.m. and he was unconscious, so they immediately called 911," Hof added.
"They told them to place him on his side, that's when they saw a bunch of stuff coming out of his mouth," the brothel owner recounted. "An ambulance picked him up, took him to a Nevada hospital. My people said to me "It's not looking good, he might not make it."
Lamar Odom reportedly paid $75,000 for the services provided in the said brothel.
