George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin recently celebrated their first year anniversary by finally adding a new member to the family!
Despite earlier reports of the couple's desire to get pregnant, however, they surprised the world when they adopted a shelter hound earlier this week.
According to US Weekly, the Clooneys dropped by the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society to adopt the adorable basset hound, Millie.
"It was a happy day at the shelter for Millie!" the animal shelter wrote on its website after the high-profile couple's choice to adopt Millie last Wednesday. "She is a four-year-old Basset Hound mix with gorgeous looks that would land her on any 'Hush Puppies' commercial!"
Before being rescued by the shelter, Millie was reportedly homeless and was found "hoping for food scraps outside of a local restaurant in San Gabriel" just this month.
"Today her luck changed for the better when she was adopted by George and Amal Clooney," the site continued, adding that they even brought the first dog they adopted, a cocker spaniel named Louie, for a proper "meet and greet."
"It was good news that Millie and Louie hit it off and the happy, new family headed home together!" the site continued.
However, the good news came at a convenient time, taking the spotlight from more divorce rumors about George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin. This time, however, it didn't have anything to do about the actor's past female lovers.
The National Enquirer, according to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, "super secret spy pictures" of the actor kissing another man from 20 years ago recently surfaced and it allegedly is causing an irreparable rift between the married couple.
The publication pointed out that Clooney might laugh it off as a joke but the UN attorney's friends might not take it as such.
"There's no doubt her pals will tell her now's the time to get out of the marriage!" a source reportedly told the gossip site.
Nevertheless, it seems that George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin are still adding to the family.
