Should FitzSimmons fans have to something to be worried about after that big turn in the latest "Agents Of SHIELD" Season 3 episode titled "4,722 Hours"?
Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) likes Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) that is why he was so devastated when his partner was sucked up by a mysterious stone. She was taken into another planet god knows where but Fitz did not surrender.
He found Simmons and was able to bring her back to earth but she seemed different. Turned out, a lot of things happened to her in that mysterious planet and that includes meeting a guy who she hated to leave alone.
Fitz has a new competition for Jemma's love in Will Daniels and according to Henstridge, Simmons is definitely in love with the guy. FitzSimmons shippers don't have anything to be worried though as the actress said, her character is still very much connected to her friend Fitz.
"Throughout all of it, she's still so connected to Fitz," Henstridge told Entertainment Weekly in interview after the shocking revelations in latest "Agents of SHIELD" season 3 episode.
"At the end, when they're going to see the sunrise and it's a romantic time for them, as soon as she sees that flare, she's right back to Fitz. She knows it's him. She's so deeply entrenched in everything about him that she can be in love with Will, but she belongs with Fitz. When she comes back, it's just so complicated. She's never experienced feelings like this. It's messy and it's human. As an actor, it's great to play, but for her, I feel bad for her and I feel bad for Fitz and Will. It's not a fun set of emotions for any of them."
However, in separate interview with Comickbook.com, Fitz and Simmons' relationship will be a tough one. She said they have to put everything aside for a tall task ahead.
"We can't see a path to them being good together again for a while," she said. "But for right now, they're putting all that aside and just concentrating on doing the right thing, which is trying to get this man that saved Simmons' life back home."
