Xiaomi Mi5 An Apple iPhone 6s Copycat? Release Date Rumored To Be Early January
The upcoming Xiaomi Mi5 which could arrive early January will feature some of Apple iPhone 6s features.
If the rumors are true, dubbed as "Apple of China," Xiaomi continues to compete against Apple iPhone 6s's unique features with its upcoming flagship device.
Popular gadget leakster in China G for Games, revealed that the Chinese tech giant filed a 3D Touch patent. However, it did not detail whether Xiaomi has built its own touch force technology or it'll use ClearForce technology from Synaptics, IB Times reported.
Phone Arena suggested that the upcoming Xioami Mi5 will most likely to feature this technology as the Force Touch will be the trademark of flagship devices and it has been reported that Samsung has also filed a pressure-sensitive display patent too.
It also added that the upcoming Xioami Mi5 will be equipped with Qualcomm's Sense ID ultrasonic fingerprint sensing technology.
As for its other specs and features, the Xioami Mi5 has been rumored to sport a 5.2-inch QHD touchscreen with 2560 x 1440 pixels screen resolution and protected by Gorilla Glass 4, fingerprint sensor and Type-C USB port.
The much awaited Xiaomi's flagship device is said to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 which won't be ready this year.
SO, speculations arise that the Xioami Mi5 release date could be early January. But the Mediatek X20 chipset is still not written off from the choices as it was previously rumored that the Xioami Mi5 will have two variants of different chipsets.
The two rumored chipsets will be paired with a 4GB of RAM and a 32GB or 64GB internal memory. On the camera side, it has 16 MP main camera with optical Image stabilization (OIS) and 5 MP secondary snapper, according to IB Times.
Xiaomi will keep its low-priced flagship trademark on the upcoming Xioami Mi5 which will start at $399.
