Ronda Rousey's mom, AnnMaria De Mars recently caused a stir when she released a negative statement against UFC champ's coach, Edmond Tarverdyan.
In a video interview with LatiNation, De Mars was quoted saying that Rousey training with Tarverdyan was just a "waste of time."
Adding that he's doing more harm than good to her daughter and the other athletes he is training.
Despite the negative comments, Ronda Rousey has reportedly opted to keep things private.
In an interview with ESPN for her next title defense, the undefeated UFC champ insisted that she'll be dealing with the issue privately as she refused to comment whether she talked to her mom about it.
"Any reaction or response I have to my mother, she's going to hear it from me and not a media outlet," Rousey said.
Meanwhile, her long time coach, Edmond Tarverdyan, also refused to talk badly about Ronda Rousey's mom nor did he defend himself from the accusations thrown at him.
"It's her mom, at the end of the day, and that's it," Tarverdyan said. "I'm a person that's never spoken negatively about anybody's mom. I've always said a mom is a mom. That's all I have to say."
Fox Sports was able to quote the controversial interview of Ronda Rousey's mom.
"If you read in Ronda's book... [Tarverdyan] didn't give her the time of day," she claimed. "And he has had that exact same pattern with many women in the gym and I have seen it with my own eyes, where they train there and it's basically a waste of their time. And they're talked to in a way that just makes my jaw drop."
She added that "Whatever [Ronda] wants to do in her career, that's her business, but if you're in a situation where you're really causing harm to other people by being used as bait to lure people in there, I think somebody needs to speak up. And all I did was say publicly what people have been whispering for years, but no one had the balls to speak up because Edmond is like that gatekeeper to Ronda."
And while busy preparing for her next fight scheduled on Nov. 15 in Melbourne, Australia against Holly Holm, the undefeated UFC champ took some time off to teach the daughter of her "Furious 7" co-star Vin Diesel.
According to People, "Vin Diesel revealed that when it comes to his daughter Hania Riley, he spared no expense in finding her a self-defense teacher."
"Because of her 'Auntie' Ronda Rousey, [Hania] is now an orange belt with stripes in judo... I made a decision early on that I was going to do everything in my power to empower her to handle it herself."
