The White House is going to have a new first lady?
The struggle in season 5 started soon after the relationship of Olivia (Kerry Washington) and President Fitzgerald (Tony Goldwyn) came out in public.
And to be able to resolve the problems, an "outrageous" plan of making Olivia the next first lady was laid out.
Cyrus (Jeff Perry) helped out with the plan to turn the scandal into a legit marriage proposal.
A surprising revalation knowing that Cyrus is actually working for the president's former wife, Mellie in order to impeach him.
But since the plan did not go out as supposed to be, Cyrus decided to shift to Olivia and Fitz's side.
In addition to the love story arc, tonight's episode will also see the president dealing with a war against West Angola.
Talking to Entertainment Weekly, Shonda Rhimes, explained how she wanted to see how the drama would unfold if she lets Fitz and Olivia finally be together.
"I found myself really inspired by the idea of what would really happen if we let everything change for real."
