Tennis superstars Grigor Dimitrov and Maria Sharapova have reportedly ended their relationship.
And while they both decided to keep mum about it, a recent interview of the Bulgarian professional tennis player reportedly hinted that he is considering the relationship as a "mistake."
"Grigor Dimitrov may be regretting his relationship with Maria Sharapova, according to the most recent interview," Kpopstarz noted.
In his interview with Tennis World, Grigor Dimitrov contemplated with the past season of his career and in doing so he reportedly hinted that he may have thought of his relationship with Maria Sharapova as a mistake.
"I did well in Australia, I had my chances against (Andy Murray), but then things turned out. After that match I lost a little bit of confidence, I changed my racquet and I had some changes off court.... I started to make things wrong in practice, my fitness level wasn't good and so I didn't play a very good tennis. Hopefully I'll learn quite enough from it and I hope I don't make the same mistake in 2016," Dimitrov explained.
Whatever the "mistakes" it may be, it definitely caused the professional player slipped from the world ranking from 11 to 26.
Meanwhile, Maria Sharapova has talked about gaining "emotional strength" in an interview, which is said to have been influenced by her breakup with Dimitrov.
According to , Maria Sharapova said something that might have been influenced by the split. She said,
"I encourage young girls to follow their strength. Strong bodies come in a variety of shapes and sizes," the 28-year-old Russian tennis superstar said according to Huffington Post . "But I don't think you really learn to appreciate your body -- however it looks -- until you truly understand its capabilities. Realizing physical strength is a great gateway to realizing emotional strength."
In addition to her flourishing tennis career, Sharapova is also busy conqueting Paris Fashion Week.
Grigo Dimitrov on the other hand, is reportedly determined to bring his play back on track as he taps Franco Davin in his team.
