Over a month after revealing that Tom Hardy and wife Charlotte Riley are expecting their first child together, the couple recently welcomed a new baby, the Daily Mail reported.
At the U.K. premiere of Hardy's newest film "Legend" on Sept. 3, Riley also debuted her baby bump as she accompanies her husband at the red carpet in Odeon Leicester Square in London.
The new baby is Tom Hardy's second child, who has a 7-year old son, Louis, from his previous relationship and ex-girlfriend Rachel Speed. Five years after, Hardy started dating Riley after meeting the actress on the set of "The Take" and "Wuthering Heights" in 2009, where Hardy was playing the role of Heathcliff and Riley as Catherine. The two got engaged in 2010 and tied the knot after 4 years. Hardy was also previously married to Sarah Ward from 1999 to 2004.
Hardy previously said in an interview with Britain's Hello! Magazine (via Mirror) that his son Louis made him an accomplished person. "Being a father has given me the kind of purpose that makes you think more carefully about how you live your life."
"I take pride in being a father and make sure I'm there for him and helping him as he makes his way in the world," the "Mad Max: Fury Road" star added.
The 37-year old star admitted that at a time in his life, he had messed up, saying, "I had no idea how to handle the industry, to interact with producers, executive producers, studios... I was 24-punching above my weight... I made a lot of mistakes and I put my mum and dad through a lot because they were so worried about me."
According to Tom Hardy, being a father to his then baby Louis and going through all his life's struggles straightened him up. "It's taken being someone's dad, being divorced, going to rehab, having mortgages, playing different characters, doing theater, waiting and then it not happening."
"It's the best thing I could have wished for. I was very self-indulgent for a long time and I was only thinking about my own stupid stuff and myself. Having a child lifts you out of that selfish behavior," the actor finally said.
Hardy is set to star alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in "The Revenant" which will be released on Jan. 8, 2016.
