In episode 5, the Doctor (Peter Capaldi) and Clara (Jenna Coleman) successfully defended a Viking village against an alien race called the Mire. But at the end of the encounter, Ashildr died. The Doctor however, saved her with one of the Mire's medkits but with a catch - it will keep healing her, effectively making her immortal.
"Doctor Who" season 9 episode 6 deals with what happens after and it appears the terrified Viking girl has now become an outlaw, according to the episode's official synopsis.
"England, 1651. Deadly highwayman 'the Knightmare' and his sidekick stalk the streets of London. But when they find loot that is not of this world, they come face to face with the Doctor. Who is the Knightmare in league with? And can the Doctor avoid the hangman's noose and protect the Earth from a devilish betrayal?"

Having lived many years and witness loss and tragedy throughout, Ashildr changed as much.
"She comes off as very bitter at the start until a few scenes in when we realize how much she's lost," Williams said as quoted by Digital Spy.
This week will be the "Game of Thrones" star's last appearance although Williams said she's open to returning in future episodes.
