'The Flash' Season 2 Spoiler: New Firestorm Is More Fun Than Ronnie Raymond

| By

The most recent "The Flash" season 2 spoiler revealed a new Firestorm will arrive. After Dr. Martin Stein (Victor Garber) got sick, probably because of the absence of his partner Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell), STAR Labs team now resorts to hiring a completely compatible partner for the doctor.

The new Firestorm, who will be played by Franz Drameh, will make his debut in this week's episode titled "The Fury of Firestorm." Although he has the same powers as Ronnie, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said the new one will be different. In fact, he is more fun.

"In the comic books Ronnie was like a dumb jock. Obviously, Robbie and the character that we created for our Ronnie was obviously an engineer and was more mature and has a girlfriend. He was more of an adult," Kreisberg told Zap2it. "The idea of a second firestorm being somebody who was just in his early 20s and somebody who was radically different from [Robbie's] Firestorm."

Franz Drameh's character Jax Jackson, who will also appear in "Legends of Tomorrow" being younger than Ronnie is what will make him funnier.

"There's a lot more room for comedy with the Firestorm character than we've seen before," he added.

Robbie Amell previously said he will return. He even vouched for his replacement through an Instagram post.

"The Fury of Firestorm" will air on October 27. Read synopsis below.

"INTRODUCING FIRESTORM - Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team look for another Firestorm match for Dr. Stein (Victor Garber). When the team meets Jefferson "Jax" Jackson (guest star Franz Drameh), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) has her reservations about whether Jax is the right match for Dr. Stein. Iris (Candice Patton) surprises Joe (Jesse L. Martin) while Barry and Patty (guest star Shantel VanSanten) grow closer. Stefan Pleszczynski directed the episode written by Kai Yu Wu & Joe Peracchio (#204). Original airdate 10/27/2015."
