Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert claim that they don't have bad blood against each other despite their sudden divorce.
During an interview with Bobby Bones, the 39-year-old singer revealed the real status of their relationship.
"Our whole thing was, we are going to be cool about this. It is what it is," he said. "We're buddies."
Their friendship will now be put to the test next month when they attend the CMA Awards. According to Hollywood Life, the former husband and wife both confirmed attending the star-studded event which means that there's a huge possibility that they will reunite for the first time after their divorce.
Blake will be performing at the awards show on November 4 while Miranda has been listed as one of the artists taking the stage. Both are also nominated for Female and Male Vocalist of the Year; and fans can't wait to find out if they would thank each other in case they win.
Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert didn't have a hard time processing their divorce which made it easier for them to move on. "In Oklahoma, it happens so fast. Like, Miranda and I didn't have any kids, and we had a prenuptial agreement, whatever we had," the TV personality explained.
"Once we filed for divorce, it was over in, like I think it was like a nine or 10-day waiting period until it's over," he added. The former husband and wife have been romantically linked to other people after they announced their divorce.
The 31-year-old songstress' rumored new love interest is Sam Hunt and they are all set to go on tour next year.
"Spending time with Sam has been a huge lift for Miranda," an insider told OK! Magazine. "They are getting very close, he makes her feel sexy and that is exactly what Miranda needs right now."
Blake, on the other hand, is linked to "The Voice" co-star Gwen Stefani. There were even rumors that the two are already engaged and have been talking about kids. However, an insider revealed to Hollywood Life that the reports are not true.
"They aren't dating, they aren't getting married," a source said. "They are friends who happen to be going through divorce. They are doing fine, but they aren't doing each other."
