A new album of Coldplay is reportedly going to drop anytime soon.
The followup record to the 2014 "Ghost Stories" titled "A Head Full of Dreams" is reportedly going to feature the band's newest music.
According to Sky News, a source alleged that the band is planning to release the new album in the next few months.
Reportedly, the album is already complete and Coldplay is looking forward to releasing it as soon as possible.
"The album is almost finished and the band are keen to get it out as soon as possible," the source alleged a few months ago.
Coldplay is also reportedly planning new tour shows next year to promote not only their new album but the previously released, "Ghost Stories" as well.
Talking to Entertainment Weekly, frontman Chris Martin compared the new album to popular book series, Harry Potter, even hinting how the upcoming new album could be the band's last.
"It's our seventh thing, and the way we look at it, it's like the last 'Harry Potter' book or something like that," Martin explained. "Not to say that there might not be another thing one day, but this is the completion of something. I have to think of it as the final thing we're doing. Otherwise we wouldn't put everything into it."
And while it's not clear if "A Head Full of Dreams" is indeed going to be the last album for Coldplay, the band played one of their newest songs at the Global Citizen Festival in New York City, Consequence of Sound reported.
The report recalled that Coldplay has played "Amazing Day" during the event and another song called "Just a Little Bit of Your Heart," together with Ariana Grande.
