TV Line recently reported that a "Gilmore Girls" revival will be happening soon, just a few months after the gang got together for a reunion with the show's executive producer.
At that time, executive producer Amy Sherman-Palladino didn't promise anything about a reboot or movie but if die-hard fans' cries are anything to go by, then any kind of revival would be a most welcome surprise.
Several long-running series have already been courted for a revival in the past couple years. Teen noir "Veronica Mars" created a full-length movie produced by fans, while John Stamos worked for a "Full House" deal with Netflix.
More notably, Tim Kring managed to reborn the cult classic "Heroes," even with only a handful of its original cast signing on.
This time, it seems that a "Gilmore Girls" revival would be happily received by fans of the mother-daughter tandem, Lorelei and Rory. According to TV Line, the reboot will have four 90-minute mini-movie episodes on Netflix and most of the fan-favorites from the seven-season show have reportedly signed on for one more run!
Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop and Scott Patterson have reportedly agreed to reprise their roles.
However, one of the biggest questions that fans have been asking since the series finale is who exactly Rory will choose to be with - the bad boy Jess, her first love Dean or her college sweetheart Logan?
While Yahoo! News wants Logan to be her final choice, some of the cast have different opinions.
"I'm team Jess. I admit it. I even told Milo. I'm totally team Jess," Jared Padalecki, who played Dean, previously told Entertainment Weekly. Nevertheless, he still wants to "wrap up Dean's story."
On the other hand, Milo Ventimiglia, who played Jess, actually wanted Rory to eventually settle with her first love.
"I've been vocal about being team Dean, so maybe she should have gone way back around to the very beginning. That would have been nice," he shared.
Will Rory finally choose who she wants to be with in the rumored "Gilmore Girls" revival? Or should she continue being a single career woman instead?
