Lindsay Lohan's star in Hollywood may have burned out but the former Disney talent is about to light up a new career path. Recently, the "Mean Girls" actress announced on Instagram that she might be running for president come 2020.
"In #2020 I may run for president," Lindsay Lohan wrote on Instagram. "Through ups and downs #YESWECAN lets do this."
Lohan's announcement of her interest in the presidency means one thing: She may be running against Kanye West, who recently announced during a long-winded MTV VMA speech that he will run for president in 2020.
In a separate Instagram post featuring herself and Yeezy, the actress also expressed the first thing she wants to do should she become the next president.
"The first thing I would like to do as president of (the United States) is take care of all of the children suffering in the world," the 29-year-old actress wrote. "#queenELIZABETH showed me how by having me in her country,"
Lohan's intentions to run for president may be well-meaning but as per law, the actress doesn't meet the minimum age for the said position, which is 35.
Meanwhile, Lohan's potential competitor, Kanye West said last month that he is serious in his desire to become president.
"Oh, definitely," the rapper said when asked whether he was serious during his MTV VMA speech. "I've got five years before I go and run for office and I've got a lot of research to do, I've got a lot of growing up to do."
On the other hand, Lindsay Lohan's previous brushes with the law may not put her in a good position should she really pursue a career in politics, let alone become a president.
