While there's no exact date yet, "Tekken X Street Fighter" release date is reportedly going to happen next year.
Fans who are starting to worry that Bandai Namco will no longer pursue the game is up for some good news.
According to Uber Gizmo, "Tekken X Street Fighter" will most likely hit the shelves sometime in 2016.
As reported by Famitsu led by Katsuhiro Harada, Bandai Namco is now working doubly hard on the game.
"I've been saying this since before, but the fact of the matter is that we're at a pretty far stage into its development," Harada of "Tekken X Street Fighter" release date. "It might seem like we haven't started on it at all, but the character lineup has been decided upon since a very long time ago and we've already finished the polygon models, moves, and systems."
Apparently, Harada wanted an earlier release date for "Tekken X Street Fighter," but the launch needed to be moved on a later date.
"It's very difficult to talk about," he said of the game's release date. "Obviously, I had originally planned to release it much earlier than we're currently looking at."
But while the game's release date has yet to be announced, Harada teased that it's going to be a surprise.
"People have been talking about the game for such a long time that they aren't going to be surprised if you just release it normally. I don't know if that's what we have planned, but we do plan to have some kind of surprise."
Meanwhile both "Tekken 7" and "Street Fighter 5" are expected to arrive in new generation consoles and PC soon.
