Two years following the fatal car crash that claimed the life of "Fast & Furious" star Paul Walker, his daughter, Meadow, 15, has now filed a lawsuit against Porsche.
However, Porsche has now reportedly rebutted the lawsuit claiming that the company is not responsible for the tragic death of the actor and his friend Roger Rodas.
In an official statement released through ET Online reported that Porsche instead of putting the blame on the car, the cause of their death was because of "reckless driving and excessive speed."
"As we have said before, we are very sad whenever anyone is hurt in a Porsche vehicle, but we believe the authorities' reports in this case clearly establish that this tragic crash resulted from reckless driving and excessive speed," the official statement said.
But according to the wrongful death lawsuit filed by Paul Walker's camp, the Porsche Carrera GT had "multiple design flaws," which killed Walker and Rodas, CNN reported.
"The bottom line is that the Porsche Carrera GT is a dangerous car. It doesn't belong on the street," Meadow Walker's attorney, Jeff Milam, said in a statement. "And we shouldn't be without Paul Walker or his friend, Roger Rodas."
However, Meadow Walker's attorney is confident that the cause of death was due to the vehicle's lack of safety features.
Additionally, Milam is confident that Meadow has a strong case citing that the vehicle's lack of safety features killed the life of the two.
"The vehicle lacked safety features that are found on well-designed racing cars or even Porsche's least expensive road cars -- features that could have prevented the accident or, at a minimum, allowed Paul Walker to survive the crash," the official lawsuit claimed by CNN stated.
Adding, "The Walker family, like the Rodas family, would not have to grieve their loss if Porsche hadn't put a faulty product on the road."
While waiting for the development of the case, Milam asked everyong to allow Paul Walker's daughter, Meadow to grieve in private saying that she's just a "teenage girl" who "values her privacy."
"It is with great reluctance that Meadow Walker has authorized the filing of this lawsuit on her own behalf and as heir to Paul Walker's estate," Jeff Milam, Meadow's lawyer, said in a statement to ET on Monday. "She's a teenage girl who is still dealing with the tragic loss of her father. She values her privacy and won't be making any comment. We ask everyone to respect that."
