"Can't Sleep Love" already reached the 25th spot on Billboard's Adult Contemporary Chart but with the release of Pentatonix' new "Sing" music video, they're just getting started.
Could their new single be the one to bring them recognition as the best contemporary a capella group?
The Grammy Award-winning group, made up of Scott Hoying, Kevin Olusola, Mitch Grassi, Avi Kaplan, and Kirstie Maldonado, used to cover other artists' songs on Youtube, but now, famous celebs are dropping by for cameos in their newest music video.
Pentatonix' "Sing" music video features celebrities like "Game Of Thrones" star Maisie Williams (who featured in a couple of Hoying and Grassi's past vlogs), Victoria Justice, "Modern Family" actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson, as well as Youtube personalities Tyler Oakley and Grace Helbig. Fans of the a capella group also shared included clips for their fans singing along to the track.
Along with the catchy song, their new album has also been released after the long wait. The self-titled deluxe album can already be purchased on iTunes, Amazon, Webstore, Target, and Google Play. Fans can also head over to Spotify to listen to the full record.
This is only the beginning for the group because they plan to conquer the industry with their unique take on music.
"We want to be considered a band, like Maroon 5 or Coldplay," Kevin Olusola told Billboard about their long-term goals.
"The second we were done on 'The Sing-Off,' we were like, 'All right, now we're competing with Rihanna and Taylor Swift.' We've always set the bar high. We want a hit," Scott Hoying added.
A capella singer and expert Deke Sharon already thinks Pentatonix will go far with their music, tagging them as the Nirvana of the genre for "breaking the glass ceiling."
"A cappella was a punchline 10 years ago," Sharon continued. "What's happening now is more dynamic. As pop gets more mechanized, nothing's more expressive than the human voice. You can touch hearts in a way that's impossible with all the Pro Tools plug-ins in the world."
