The biggest "Outlander" season cast news in the last few months has something to do with Brianna - the daughter of Jamie and Claire on the book where the show was based from.
The Starz TV series is clear on what they want from the actress who will play this integral role. The Brianna in the show is already in her 20s, hinting of flash forward or maybe a time travel. Fans have their own "Outlander" season 2 cast recommendation for Brianna but the show is still mum about it.
It seems they have already found the artist who will play Brianna based on the latest actress they enlisted. The Daily Record UK reported Irish actress Maeve Foley, a red head beauty, has joined the show based on the novel series by Diana Gabaldon.
"Irish beauty Maeve Foley, who describes herself as a dancer, actress and model on Twitter, has already been welcomed to the show's cast by 'Outlander' fans," the British publication wrote.
"However, the 22-year-old's role on the show has not yet been confirmed."
The report clearly did not name her character but her similarities to Brianna make fan speculate she will play Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire's (Caitriona Balfe) child.
"Outlander" season 2 cast news about Brianna was very specific when it first came out in August.
The site added that the actress being searched is someone who is in his 20s. That is pretty old since in the show, Claire and Jamie are only in their thirties.
"The official character description describes Brianna as a young 20-something American who's "strong-minded, intelligent beyond her years with an effortless charm and sparkling sense of humor (traits inherited from both her mother and father," TV Line reported last month.
"She also has a scholastic mindset, with a healthy dose of American strength, having been born and bred in Boston under the watchful eye of professor and historian Frank Randall."
Is Foley the Brianna the show is looking for? Does she fit the description?
"Outlander" season 2 air date is by March or April.
