Jon Snow Will Survive When 'Winds Of Winter' Release Date Arrives? George R.R. Martin Hints Details!

| By

The quetion remains unanswered. Is Jon Snow really dead?

While his fate in "Game of Thrones" seemed to be a sealed deal already, that does not mean that it's the same with George R.R. Martin's "Winds of Winter" novel.

With the release date reportedly set next year, George R.R. Martin is reportedly hinting details of Jon Snow's fate.

While it may seem that he's already dead following the cliffhanger ending in "A Dance with Dragons" Huffington Post reported that Jon Snow could actually return to "Winds of Winter" when release date arrives.

The publication noted George R.R. Martin's previous interview where he reportedly teased that Snow's not really dead.

"Oh, you think he's dead, do you?" He asked when questioned if Jon Snow is really dead.

He also reminded fans that they "should know better than to take anything as gospel."

Furthermore, the 67-year-old award-winning author also reminded everyone in the Q&A at the Sasquan science fiction convention in Spokane that not everything in HBO's "Game of Thrones" series is derived from the novel, leaving a huge chance for Jon Snow's survival in "Winds of Winter."

"Anything is possible," he said as reported by Geekwire.

And while George R.R. Martin remains tightlipped with the nove's release date, Alejo Cuervo, editor of Ediciones Gigamesh, revealed to Lossie Tereinos via The Week, that "Winds of Winter" release date is most definitely happening next year.

"The difference between the release dates of the Spanish version and the English version are not expected to be much, as the manuscript will be made available to the Spanish publishers well before the book is out in the market," the article said.

Joking that "Winds of Winter" release date is sure to come next year "unless a meteor should fall."

"It's planned for next year," Cuervo assured. "They have promised us that they will give us the manuscript before the release date in English, but it won't be a big difference [between the dates]."
