Kobe Bryant is entering his 19th year as professional basketball player.
While many Los Angeles Lakers fans are excited about his return, another thing they are looking forward to is his decision about his career once 2015-16 NBA season ends.
A lot of basketball personalities have made their theories regarding the Black Mamba's future. Some say he will retire, some say he will not.
For his ex-teammate Rick Fox, there is a little possibility that Kobe Bryant will hang his boots by season's end. However, there is a bigger chance he will leave Purple and Gold either for New York Knicks or an overseas stint.
"I don't think this is his last year. It might be his last year in L.A," Rick Fox told Los Angeles Daily News.
"But it won't be his last year in the game. I think he'll play overseas in China. Or maybe go to New York and be with Derek (Fisher) and Phil (Jackson) and mentor the other players with the triangle offense."
Rick Fox, who retired in 2004 and won three NBA championships with Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal from 2001 to 2002, also played down opinions Kobe's game will diminish in his return.
"He has a lot of miles on his body," he said. "But he's smarter as a basketball player this year than he was last year and the year before. So above the shoulders, he will continue to progress."
His Kobe Bryant to New York Knicks comment is something that came out of nowhere. It makes sense though given the fact that Bryant, Knicks pres. Phil Jackson, and coach Derek Fisher spent fruitful times together in Los Angeles Lakers.
Jackson previously stated that Kobe will not retire after this season.
"Phil, on Kobe: 'I don't think this is his last year. Might be his last year as a Laker.'" - Wall Street Journal's Chris Herring wrote on Twitter.
