As for its release date, it was recently rumored to be some time on February 2016 as The Pokemon Company celebrates its 20th anniversary next year, News Everyday reported.

"2016 marks the 20th year since Pokémon was born," Game Freak director Junichi Masuda revealed as quoted by Youth Health Magazine.

"It's going to be a very meaningful year for me, and I am really excited to be able to participate in this project. I hope everyone will also be excited for 'Pokémon GO.'"

"Pokemon Go" will be an augmented reality game coming to IOS and Android devices for free, but would definitely feature in-app purchases, Headlines and Global News reported.

"For the first time, Pokémon will roam free in the real world. Pokémon GO will allow players to capture Pokémon who inhabit parks, shopping areas, sidewalks and the countryside all around the world. Imagine discovering a Squirtle hiding along the waterfront in San Francisco, a Bulbasaur at Shinjuku Station or a Pikachu beneath the Eiffel Tower," according to John Hanke, founder of Niantic.
