Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling are very hands on and protective of their baby girl that they won't even get a babysitter to take care of it.
During an interview with Natalie Morales of the Today show, the 41-year-old actress revealed that she's going to take a little break from her acting career so she can spend more time with Esmeralda Amada.
In fact, she admitted to the host that it was only the third time that she's been away from her one-year-old daughter. When asked who's looking after their baby, the brunette beauty revealed that she's with Ryan Gosling.
"[She's with] papa and the family. Thank god I have my entire family 10 minutes away," she said as reported by Us Weekly.
Eva Mendes did not only adorably called her boyfriend "papa," but she also revealed that the 34-year-old actor has been changing the diapers of their baby girl.
"I mean, that's a given these days!" she said. "The Place Beyond the Pines" co-stars are both head over heels in love with Esmeralda Amada that she's always on her mind.
"If I'm even like, 'Oh, what should I wear? Or, should I do this project?' All I have to think about is my daughter and her face and I know the answer immediately," Mendes explained. "She's my moral compass in a way."
Esmeralda Amada Gosling celebrated her first birthday last month and the couple managed to keep it away from the spotlight.
"It was a quiet and casual party, not the typical celebrity 1st birthday blowout with vendors and other celebrity guests," an insider told Us Weekly. "It looked like it was just their simple style and more about family and close friends coming together to celebrate Esmeralda."
Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling have both decided to keep their daughter away from the media and paparazzi and they started as early as her pregnancy.
"Whether we like it or not, privacy is going to be very difficult for Esmeralda. I think it's unfair but that's our reality," she told Violet Grey. "So Ryan and I decided early on to give her as much privacy as we could."
