'Quantico' Episode 3 Postmortem: Next Week Is A Must-Watch For Alex Parrish Fans

| By

The latest of "Quantico" TV series is just getting better but for its lead character Alex Parrish, it's all going dowhill.

"Quantico" Episode 3 saw Priyanka Chopra's character find an ally in former FBI Academy classmate Simon Asher (Tate Ellington). However, at the end of the episode, it was revealed that the enigmatic gay agent is working with FBI against her.

Aside from Alex's failure to find a new friend in the ordeal she's going through, "Quantico" episode 3 titled "Cover" also had a major reveal about her father who she killed while defending her mother.

In the next episode, more details will be unraveled about the life of the smart and skilled female FBI agent.

When asked what's next for Alex, showrunner Josh Safran said the next "Quantico" episode will be more Alex-centric.

"I would just say that Alex, in light of the revelations about her father at Quantico, faces her darkest moment yet. She's going to be tested," Shafran told Entertainment Weekly.

"It's probably our most Alex-centric episode so far. I mean, they're all Alex-centric, but we really shine a light on her and her psyche and who she wants to be. It's just a fantastic episode, and I'm also very happy to say it's written and directed and edited by women, which is always great and something we hope to keep going here at Quantico. It's just a story about Alex and all those things come together to form a story that's really emotional and intimate that I hope people really love. I would say it's a bit of a departure except it's not. Priyanka just shines even brighter than before. I just can't be more proud of that episode."

The next "Quantico" episode is called "Kill."

Read synopsis below.

"At Quantico, the recruits are tasked with performing a hostage rescue training exercise that shakes Alex, making her question her ability and whether she should quit Quantico. While in the future, Alex continues to search for clues, finding one that questions the innocence of one of her closest classmates. But is her clue really what she thinks? No one is who they seem."
