| By

Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud" has become his biggest hit to date. It not only has become a worldwide anthem for weddings, proposals and lovers, it has also broken several world records already.

According to Official Charts, the British acoustic star's love song is the first to reach 500 million streams on the popular music platform, Spotify.

The site further revealed that Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud" isn't the only attraction for the singer on Spotify. Some 19 million people reportedly listen to him every month.

His songs have also been played for about 2.9 billion times and are included in 38 million playlists.

Has Ed Sheeran already become the "Streaming King?"

Streaming aside, the song was also the first ever to spend a full year in the UK Top 40 charts, BBC previously reported. The sweet ode entered the charts at number 26 in June of 2014 and the 28th place a year later.

According to J-14, it also got a Guinness World Record for becoming the "the longest climb to No. 1 on the U.K. singles chart." It took the single 19 weeks to reach the top spot.

Even the "Thinking Out Loud" music video, which shows the 24-year-old ballroom dancing with a girl has been viewed more than 700 million times on Youtube.

To better see the scope of the song, Spotify mapped out which countries around the world composed the 500 million streams and called it "The Sheerio Index."

Norway, Sweden, Australia, the Philippines, the UK, Ireland and Estonia are some of the countries with half of its users listening to Sheeran.

On the other hand, 100 percent of Spotify users in Denmark listen to him all the time.

Although he went on a world tour, many followers still weren't able to see him perform live. Fans who weren't able to see Ed Sheeran sing "Thinking Out Loud" and his other hits in person, will be able to watch him on the big screen at least. His first concert film, "Jumpers for Goalposts," will be shown in selected cinemas worldwide starting Oct. 22.
