While there's no official announcement yet, "Transformers 5" is most definitely going to happen according to the cast.
And while details of the sequel have yet to be revealed, there's an ongoing speculation that the fifth installment of the franchise will see newly revamped robots.
According to Gospel Herald "Transformers 5" will introduce new robots including Ultra Magnus, Blitzwing, Scourge, Cyclonus, Override and Red Alert.
While Paramount Pictures has yet to confirm new reports, bringing in new robots to "Transformers 5" is definitely not impossible.
Day Herald speculated that "Transformers 5" could be a two part story with Optimus Prime facing the Quintessons and the other with Ultra Magnus taking in command for the Autobots.
"One will have Optimus Prime facing the Quintessons who are the creators of the Autobots with the help of his second-in-command Ultra Magnus," the publication reported. "This event will result in the final confrontation between Optimus Prime and his team with Unicron, who is the lord of the Decepticons."
While rumors of the new robots arise, there's also an ongoing speculation that original cast members Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf will return in "Transformers 5."
Food World News reported the possibility of Shia LaBeouf returning to the franchise claiming,
"Shia LaBeouf has been busy as he departed from the Transformers franchise, he recently hangs out with Lars von Trier, the Danish film director and screenwriter," the publication claimed. "Adding ShiaLaBeouf to Transformers 5 could be a good move by Paramount even if it means that they have to kidnap, drug him, then have him wake up on set.
"As LaBeouf has matured into a manhood, bringing him back would simply make the film far more interesting."
Meanwhile, Mark Wahlberg, who took over the franchise at "Transformers: Age of Extinction" confirmed that he is going to return with director Michael Bay.
"We'll get together when he [Michael Bay] gets back," Wahlberg told Collider.
