Tim Burton is finally moving forward with "Beetlejuice 2" movie following years of careful planning.
The sequel to the 1988 classic horror comedy is reportedly gearing up with the release date yet to be determined.
While original cast members Winona Ryder and Michael Keaton already confirmed their involvement in "Beetlejuice 2," another OG cast is reportedly expressing her interest to join the sequel.
Veteran actress Geena Davis admitted that she's interested to be a part of Tim Burton's "Beetlejuice 2."
In a recent interview with ET Online, the 59-year-old actress who played the role of Barbara Maitland, the newly-departed ghost, in the original film, confessed that she "would love to" if asked.
"I did hear that it's really happening," she said of the sequel. "No one's talked to me about it. I would love to! That was one of my favorite movies, too."
While the she glady threw herself in the sequel, Davis did note that her on-screen husband, Alec Baldwin, won't probably be able to make it to Tim Burton's project.
"Ghosts probably don't age, and it's going to be 30 years now. Of course, I haven't aged, but I think Alec Baldwin (Adam Maitland) maybe has aged, perhaps," she quipped.
Winona Ryder previously announce to the "Late Night with Seth Meyers" that "Beetlejuice 2" is indeed happening.
"I think I can confirm it because Tim Burton did this interview," Ryder told Meyers when asked about the sequel. "It was very hush-hush, top secret, 'I don't know what may happen, I don't know,' and then he was doing some press for 'Big Eyes' and he did an on-camera interview and he said, 'Oh yeah, we're doing it and Winona's gonna be in it.' So can I say...? I mean if he said it. But I really don't know much more than anybody else."
Meanwhile, Tim Burton himself revealed that the script is already done adding that together with the new cast, some characters from the original movie will definitely make a come back.
"There's a script now, that I think is closer to what it could be and I'm excited about it," Burton revealed through Yahoo! Movies. "I wouldn't call it so much a sequel, but it'll have some characters [from the original 'Beetlejuice']. It's a bit too early to say but it's definitely something that's on my radar and something I'd love to do."
