Tonight is the night and the waiting is finally over! The survivors from the zombie apocalypse headed by Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) are set to return tonight as the group continues to struggle.
Following the big ending in season 5, season 6 will open with Rick asking the help of the other group members to execute his plan to drive the huge wave of walkers away from Alexandria.
And while the group struggles to keep their safe haven away from the walkers, one group member will reportedly die before the premiere ends.
Speaking to Variety, "The Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman promised that season 6 is "going to be the most intense season" yet. "The first few episodes hit the ground running, and there'll be pretty big cliffhangers at the end of every episode," added Kirkman.

"In the Season 6 premiere, Rick and the group continue to have trouble assimilating into Alexandria; and a new threat could bring them closer together or drive them further apart."
