Following the tragic death of Paul Walker, fans were led to believe that the "Fast and Furious" franchise has finally come to an end.
However, shortly after "Furious 7" was released in theaters, Vin Diesel and the rest of the crew announced that "Fast and Furious 8" is happening.
Continuing the legacy of the hit car-chase movie, Michelle Rodriguez gamely shared details on what fans could expect with the sequel, revealing how the plot has greatly influenced by the late actor.
Talking to People during UNITAS Gala Against Sex Trafficking in New York City, Paul Walker's "Fast and Furious" co-star explained how the upcoming eight installment of the movie will pay tribute to the late actor.
"[Paul] wanted to bring it back down to the core, which is the racing," Rodriguez revealed. "He was always complaining about the special effects and the blue screens."
The 37-year-old actress said that "Fast and Furious 8" will steer clear away from the "exaggerated explosions and crazy plot lines," as it tries to remain "true to Paul's wishes."
Explaining what Vin Diesel's previous statement was about.
"I think that's what Vin [Diesel] meant when [he said] his main focus on the next one will be trying to keep it true to that car audience," she said. "Hopefully we'll be able to do that cause it's gotten bigger than ever and you know we also have to stay true to that so it'll be a challenge."
Meanwhile, Meadow Walker, Paul's 16-year-old daughter filed a case against Porsche for the death of her father, stating that the giant car company was responsible for the death of his father for having "multiple design flaws,"CNN reported.
"The bottom line is that the Porsche Carrera GT is a dangerous car. It doesn't belong on the street," Meadow Walker's attorney, Jeff Milam, said in a statement. "And we shouldn't be without Paul Walker or his friend, Roger Rodas."
"Fast and Furious 8" release date is set on April 14, 2017 with original cast returning to reprise their roles.
