"The Sims 4: Get Together" release date is slightly delayed to Dec. 8, according to Electronic Arts. In exchange though, players can expect more content from the upcoming expansion pack.
"This represents a slight delay, as the expansion was previously expected to launch in November," GameSpot said.
First seen in August, "Get Together" adds a new dynamic to Sims' social life. As reported by Tech Times, the expansion pack will bring a new location called Windenburg as well as DJ and dancing skills. Players also get the ability to create or own Clubs.
Normally, an expansion pack release date being delayed is a bad thing but fans shouldn't go out in protest just yet.
"Your enthusiasm and feedback inspired us to work even harder to make sure that this pack is everything it could be," Lyndsay Pearson, the game's senior producer said in a blog post adding, "So we've decided to take a little more time to work on the expansion pack."
Pearson went on to say that the development team will "add more polish and depth" to "The Sims 4: Get Together."
The expansion pack will apparently bring new features to Clubs when its release date arrives.
"You can still take your Club members out and about, but now you can also create your Club's signature spot, and that can lead to cool personalization," Pearson said.
"Get Together" will also bring new in-game items including the Jenga-like "Don't Wake the Llama" board game and the Natural Pool which is essentially a diving rock.
The expansion pack may no longer be available in November but Pearson said updates on it will come out by then. Until then, players can have fun with the just-released "Spooky Stuff" pack.
"The Sims 4: Get Together" release date will be on Dec. 8 for North America, followed by a worldwide debut later in the week.
