Rumors of Kit Harington's return as Jon Snow arose once again when fans spotted him filming scenes for "Game Of Thrones" season 6.
With the photographic proof of his part in the upcoming season, fans gave their own ideas about the possible ways he could have survived that fatal stabbing in the finale.
One of the most popular theories involves the Melisandre who will reportedly resurrect him from his apparent death. However, one glitch in the theory is that the Red Woman still hasn't tried bringing anyone back from the dead. Will she get help from another priest or priestess?
Deadline recently confirmed that British actress Melanie Liburd ("Dracula," "CSI: Crimes Scene Investigation") will be joining the sixth season as another red priestess. Will she be the one to help Melisandre raise Jon Snow from the dead?
Her involvement may be a logical idea but fans commented that she will be portraying be a priestess based in Mereen, which would place her too far away from the Wall during the rumored resurrection. Nevertheless, the entertainment news site noted that Liburd's casting in the show "would seem to indicate a new direction for the character, or at the very least a new incarnation."
The recent behind-the-scenes photos taken of Kit Harington as Jon Snow with who appears to be Carice Van Houten's Melisandre in the background suggested that the duo could be travelling somewhere south of the wall in "Game Of Thrones" season 6. Where exactly they'll be going is still unknown.
Meanwhile, the theory also suggested that Jon's death would trigger his own Warg powers and would have his soul roaming the past as well as the present. If the speculations could be believed then he would be able to know the truth about his mysterious birth.
Fans have been adamantly insisting that he was the son of Lyanna Stark and Raeghar Targaryen, therefore making him the true heir to the Iron Throne.
Whether Melisandre realized that Kit Harington's Jon Snow as a true king or not might just be revealed when "Game Of Thrones" season 6 premieres next year.
