'The Strain' Season 3 Spoiler: Faster Story Due To Lesser Episode And New Integral Ally

| By

FX TV series "The Strain" has been renewed for a third season even before it ended its finale last week.

Although the show will return only next year, it is never too soon for "The Strain" season 3 spoiler.

First off, the third season will only have 10 episodes, three short compared to the first two. This means the storyline will be accelerated according to showrunner Carlton Cuse.

"We definitely won't see our gang living and working out of the same place, at least at the start of the season," Hogan told TVLine when asked for "The Strain" season 3 spoiler.

"I do think the feel of the show is going to be different - not radically different, but we are going to be advancing the story faster," executive producer Chuck Hogan shared adding they "will add a lot of propulsion to the narrative."

"The Strain" season 2 finale episode saw the arrival of a new ally named Quinlan who is also a vampire but working for the good side. Although vampire fighters lost one main member in Nora who electrocuted herself after getting infected in the same episode, Quinlan will be her equally capable replacement, only with a different ability to offer.

"When he entered the narrative in I think it was the second book, it energized the storytelling," Hogan said adding "on TV I feel like that has happened times 10.... We've had a lot of fun teasing out the mystery, but absolutely certain questions will be answered and he'll be an integral part of the story going ahead."

As for Nora (Mia Maestro), she is definitely dead according to Cuse. Maestro said she knew the plan for her character mid-season. Despite that, she feels no sadness on the departure.

"We knew around midseason, or maybe towards [episode] eight or nine," she told the Hollywood Reporter.

"I had a lovely conversation with [showrunner] Carlton [Cuse] and we talked about it. It was really sad, and we knew the character would be very much missed, but she had a lovely arc and life within the series. It's great that she goes out in that beautiful, emotional and shocking ending."

Is the ending satisfying? "The Strain" season three is expected to air next year. Watch out for more spoilers in the coming days.
