It appears that indeed, Selena Gomez's heart wants what it wants! And right now, what SelGo wants isn't Justin Bieber anymore but for the world to turn its attention to her next album entitled "Revival."
Recently, the "Good For You Singer" opened up about her struggles with lupus disease, confessing that she had undergone chemotherapy back in 2014.
Her confession of having lupus disease sheds light on why the songstress took a break from Hollywood that year, dismissing rumors that Gomez's hiatus was due to her split with then boyfriend, Justin Bieber.
"I was diagnosed with lupus, and I've been through chemotherapy. That's what my break was really about. I could've had a stroke," Gomez said in a Billboard Magazine interview. "I wanted so badly to say, 'You guys have no idea. I'm in chemotherapy. You're assholes.' I locked myself away until I was confident and comfortable again,"
Selena Gomez also said that she has no intention of getting back together with Justin Bieber and she's not standing around to be bullied by the media.
"I'm so f***ing nice to everybody, and everyone is so vile to me," Gomez said. "I've been working since I was 7. I've been a UNICEF ambassador since I was 17. It's so disappointing that I've become a tabloid story,"
Speaking of tabloids, some gossip websites claim that Selena Gomez's recent admission of having lupus disease was somehow planned, in order to promote her new album.
"It's pretty risky to use the world a**hole to describe the people who helped you build your career," Celeb Dirty Laundry reported. "Is Selena desperately trying another approach to selling her new album now that using Justin Bieber has failed?"
