Avril Lavigne Dead: Hoax News Claims The ‘Fly’ Singer Has Been Replaced!

Avril Lavigne has been dead and replaced by a look alike?

Recently, an Avril Lavigne dead news has caused uproar on social media when a Brazilian fan site Avril Esta Morta claims that the Pop-punk princess has died several years ago, Softpedia reported.

Buzzfeed's Ryan Broderick who recently made this news viral on Twitter said that Avril Lavigne was replaced by an actress named Melissa.

"There's a Brazilian conspiracy theory that Avril Lavigne died and was secretly replaced," he shared on Twitter.

Thus, this actress parading as the "Hello Kitty" singer hinted Avril is really dead through her "Slipped Away" hit song. The conspiracy theory continues as Avril Lavigne has been dead prior to her "Under My Skin" album.

"To the outside world, everything was gravy. Yet if we could astral-project into Avril Ramona Lavigne's psyche during this imperial period in her career, we would see that-as has been confirmed by everyone from Johnny Depp to Lauren Conrad from The Hills-being famous sucks. It takes an incredible toil on one's person. So pretty soon Avril followed in the footsteps of Britney "being famous is just a job" Spears and hired a lookalike to confuse the paparazzi that were constantly pursuing her," Noisey UK wrote.

Though some Avril Lavigne's fans have fell on this hoax news, it is interesting to note that it was stated on the blog that it was "created to show how conspiracy theories can look true," Movie Pilot added.

Meanwhile, this isn't the first time that Avril Lavigne dead news has been taken by storm as it was rumored in 2015 that she died in a snowboard accident, IB Times reported.

"The singer/songwriter & novice snowboarder was vacationing at Whistler Blackcomb ski resort located 125 km north of Vancouver, in British Columbia, Canada with family and friends," Gossipcop reported in 2012, according to IB Times.

"Witnesses indicate that Avril Lavigne lost control of her snowboard and struck a tree at a high rate of speed."
