There were rumors coming out that Taylor Kitsch and Rachel McAdams were dating, but both denied that they were in a relationship.
It all started a few months ago when the "True Detective" co-stars were spotted having a dinner date in West Hollywood.
"I don't know if it's full-blown love yet, but they talk constantly," an insider told Us Weekly. "They're really into each other. She talks about him all the time!" However, the 36-year-old actress tried to not to take things seriously.
"It's funny the things the Internet likes to proclaim," McAdams told ET Online. "[It's the] weird, weird, bizarre, surreal side of it but I guess you just have to laugh at it at a certain point." Kitsch, on the other hand, was asked by ET Canada to keep the record straight regarding his relationship with his co-star.
"There is no record," the 34-year-old actor said. "There is nothing to set straight, she's an amazing actress and a great gal."
A few months after Taylor Kitsch and Rachel McAdams denied the dating rumors, the Canadian heartthrob started talking about dating again - but it was not about him.
During a chat with Chase Crawford for Interview magazine, the Taylor teased him if he was dating Jonas Pate, who was his director in "Friday Night Lights." The director's brother Josh Pate happens to be the creator of Chase's new TV series "Blood & Oil."
"Yeah, we're dating, basically. His wife's not too happy, but we've really come a long way in three months," Crawford laughed and replied to Kitsch. "We couldn't have lucked out more with a guy who understands that world-his twin brother [Josh Pate] wrote the script and actually went up to North Dakota and saw how they really live," he added.
In a separate report, a source confirmed that Taylor Kitsch and Rachel McAdams may have ended up dating if they haven't finished filming "True Detective."
The distance could pose as a problem for the actor since he will be staying in Texas while the actress will be in California.
"Taylor isn't willing to pull up stakes and move to L.A." an insider told the National Enquirer via Classicalite. "As much as she adores Taylor, she has no time for a long-distance relationship."
