A team of dentists have created a toothbrush capable of thoroughly cleaning teeth in less than six seconds BBC News reported.
"Because you are brushing all your teeth at the same time, you are brushing extremely quickly," the company said in a statement. "You brush all the difficult-to-reach and interdental regions without even having to think about it."
Blizzident only needs to be replaced once a year BBC News reported. Each brush has 400 soft bristles and requires the wearer to grind their teeth so they can be cleaned.
"It's something out of the ordinary, a different approach," professor Damien Walmsley, a scientific adviser to the British Dental Association told BBC News. "It's not what you use, it's how you brush, it's your technique. It needs to be checked that it's completely safe."
Blizzident uses the same scans dentists use to fit braces and a 3D printer to make the brush for each individual customer. According to BBC News, the brush helps stop brushing errors that people usually make. Although a sophisticated piece of equipment is now available to assist people in brushing, more research needs to be done.
Blizzident costs $405 (229 Euros) for a full year's use.
Those wanting another brush after this can receive them at a cheaper price. Users can also recondition their older brushes for less than 100 euros.
