The latest "Doctor Who" episode kicks off a new adventure which puts the Time Lord and his companion's investigative skills to the test - all while trying to survive "an impossible threat."

"When an Underwater Base comes under attack, the Doctor and Clara must save the frightened crew and defeat an impossible threat. But what is behind these terrifying events? And can they really be haunted by Ghosts?"
"Under The Lake" will be another two-part story to be followed by episode 4 "Before The Flood" which premieres next week. Show runner Steven Moffat described it as "brilliantly creepy... one of our scariest adventures yet!"
The two-parter is penned by Toby House, who also wrote previous episodes such as "School Reunion." "The Vampires of Venice," and "The God Complex." Daniel O'Hara serves as director.
Making his debut in the show is "Game of Thrones" actor Paul Kaye.
