Still blaming himself for the death of Eddie (Rick Cosnett), Barry decides to push his friends away as he protects the Central City on his own.
But it's not going to take long for him to need the help of his friends as Atom Smasher attacks the city.
Iris (Candice Patton) begs Barry to let his friends help him protect the people of the city.
The season opener will also see the people of Central City hosting an event to commemorate The Flash's heroism.
Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) will help Joe (Jesse L. Martin) with his Meta Task Force.
