Listen up, Demi Lovato haters because the former Disney star will show you just how "Confident" she is as she poses completely naked and make-up free in a new and hot photoshoot for Vanity Fair.
For years, Demi Lovato had struggled with body image issues and eating disorders. In fact, she had suffered so much that she had to go to rehab to get her to this point in time.
On top of that, she has had to deal with haters and bullies in the past, which contributed to her negative body image.
Now, the "Let It Go" singer had stripped her clothes off for a photoshoot for Vanity Fair to send out an important message: loving your body.
According to photographer Patrick Ecclesine, the photoshoot was not planned at all, in fact, he was only meeting Demi Lovato that day to "shadow" Phil McIntyre, CEO of Philymack, wherein Lovato is a talent.
That day, Demi Lovato, who is bound to release her new album entitled "Confident" in October, just got the news of her grandfather's passing when she met up with Ecclesine.
In the middle of talking about her grief, the singer suddenly jumped into the idea of an impromptu photoshoot.
"If there's one thing I've learned in the past day, it's that life is too short," Lovato said. "What does it mean to be confident?"
"It means letting go, being authentic, saying I don't give a fuck and this is who I am," Lovato explained. "What if we do a photo shoot where it's totally raw? Super-sexy, but no makeup, no fancy lighting, no retouching, and no clothing. Let's do it here, let's do it now."
In an interview that came with the photoshoot, Lovato emphasized the importance of being comfortable in one's own skin.
"I would've never thought that I would've gotten into a place in my life where I could feel comfortable doing that," Lovato said of posing naked, make-up free and having her photos published without a touch of photo editing. "It's empowering, it shows other women that you can get to a place where you can overcome the obstacles of body image issues."
