'Attack On Titan' Season 2 Killing Off Major Character As Release Date Draws Near?

"Attack on Titan" season 2 is definitely one of the highly anticipated anime series today.

While creators of the anime have yet to reveal the official release date of "Attack on Titan," there are reports claiming that it will most likely arrive next year.

According to VC Post director Testsuro Araki already confirmed that the second season of the anime will arrive in 2016.

And while fans anxiously wait for the official release date of "Attack on Titan" season 2, there's a new update revealing a tragic event.

Apparently, the anime will kill off a major character, Kpopstarz reported.

The question is, who will meet his end when season 2 arrives?

According to the publication, there are a number of reports pointing out that Captain Levi Ackerman will die in "Attack on Titan" season 2.

As pointed out by Latin Times noting PIXISSUUU magazine's claim that the second season of the anime will be adapting manga's chapter 73, where the death of Captain Levi saving his new squad called, Shiganshina trio, will be the main story.

And while the news should still be taken with a grain of salt, there are additional reports claiming that "Attack on Titan" season 2 will also delve deeper into the story of Ymir and Krista Lenz.

While none of the reports have been confirmed yet, Crunchy Roll is confident that more and more details will be revealed since the anime will be released next year.

"The anime is set to return to TV to continue the adaptation of Hajime Isayama's hit manga in 2016," the publication reported.

However, despite all the exciting news about "Attack on Titan" season 2, Kawakubo Shintaro revealed to Japanese site Antenna, that the "end was in sight" for "Attack on Titan."

Crunchyroll on the other hand, insisted that the anime still has three years worth of story.

"Attack on Titan" season 2 release date is said to arrive in 2016.
